Procedures

At Brain Health Institute, we offer a full range of advanced, office-based procedures designed to provide safe, effective, and personalized treatment for brain and nervous system conditions. Every procedure we perform is grounded in evidence-based techniques and the latest medical advancements, and each is performed personally by Dr. Deena Kuruvilla, a board-certified neurologist with fellowship training in headache and facial pain. Because procedures are done right in our Westport office, patients receive expert treatment in a comfortable, private setting—without the need for hospital visits or lengthy referrals.

Our procedural offerings address a wide spectrum of neurological concerns. These include peripheral nerve blocks, such as occipital nerve blocks, to interrupt pain signals at their source; trigger point injections to relieve muscle-related head and neck pain; temporomandibular blocks for jaw-related pain and headache; ketorolac injections for fast-acting relief of acute migraine attacks; and BOTOX® injections, both as an FDA-approved preventive treatment for chronic migraine and for cosmetic care. Most procedures take only minutes to perform, involve minimal discomfort, and allow patients to return to their normal activities the same day.

What makes procedures at Brain Health Institute different is the thoughtful care that surrounds them. Before recommending any procedure, Dr. Kuruvilla performs a thorough evaluation to confirm your diagnosis and determine which treatment offers you the greatest likelihood of relief. She takes the time to explain exactly what to expect—before, during, and after—so you feel informed and at ease every step of the way. And because our approach is comprehensive, procedures are integrated with medical management and holistic therapies as part of a complete, personalized care plan. To find out whether an in-office procedure could help you, schedule a consultation today.
